Saskatchewan Big Game Draw

The Saskatchewan big game draw, first introduced in 1958, provides a fair and equitable method to allocate a limited number of licences to ensure the long-term sustainability of game populations. In 2013, an additional draw was added for Canadian residents to apply for a limited number of Canadian resident white-tailed deer licences.

Results for all big game draws except pronghorn are now available! To check the status of your application, visit the draw orders page in the My Account section of your web account. Check carefully that you are viewing your current application and not an application from a previous year. As an extra convenience, emails will be sent to applicants with valid email addresses to notify them of the result of their application(s) in the draw. However, successful email delivery cannot be guaranteed. All applicants are responsible for ensuring they have checked their result through their web account.

Results for the pronghorn draw will be available in mid-July. Awarded licences for successfully drawn applicants will be available to purchase beginning August 1.

Be aware that more than 97,000 applications were received and that the chance of any one application being drawn is very low for some hunts, even for applications in the Super A priority pool.

Saskatchewan Resident Big Game Draw (does not apply to Canadian and non-residents)

Note that the number of big game draw applicants has increased significantly in recent years. Therefore the likelihood of being drawn may be very low for some hunts, even for applications in the top priority pool. Hunters are advised to review previous year’s results to assist them with selecting hunt choices that will improve their chances of being drawn.
